What are the workshops About
“Lets talk about stammering, is exactly what the sentence says. The workshops cover all areas of verbal communication, they are an opportunity to interact with people who are challenged by stammering / stuttering, a chance to meet, to listen, to people who support the stammering / stuttering community. The workshops are open to everyone over the age of fourteen. You don’t have to be challenged by stammering/stuttering to attend, parents family members, partners, friends are more then welcome to attend. The workshops offer valuable insights into the mindset, mentality and physical behaviour of stammering/stuttering.
The workshops are spilt into six different modules, each module lasting fifty minutes, all modules are interactive and include presentations on “Addressing The Cycle Of Panic” “Addressing The Cycle of Blocking” What Is Your Combination To Unlock” “Verbal Ping Pong” “ Are You On The Radar” “Why Does Your Stammering / Stuttering Erupt” are just a taste of what each separate module will cover, all modules address the physical and psychological behaviour and mindset, which affects the vast majority of people who are challenged by stammering / stuttering.
Through the workshops, lives are touched, attitudes changed, knowledge gained, and friendships made.

Following on from the successful workshops which were held in 2009 and 2010, “Speak Soon Communications” will once again be sponsoring four workshops on Stammering Recovery.
This year’s workshops will have a completely new format from last year, all workshops will look closely at what drives the stammering behaviour both a physical and psychological level. What we need to pay attention too besides the tools or techniques we may have learned.
All workshops will be interactive, all workshops are about you, for you, many run by you. New knowledge to complement and embrace what you may already know.

The workshops are open to all who wish to attend, the Irish Stammering Association, the British Stammering Association, Irish McGuire Programme and the Professional Speech Community will be promoting the workshops through their membership.
This year the stammering community in Ireland will once again take a very positive step forward to move Stammering Awareness to a new level, the “Lets Talk About Stammering Workshops” are part of that positive step.
For only three euro per hour you will get, knowledge, new information, new experiences, support.
